Marcil Mohamad Mamita, MD

Dr. Marcil Mamita is a board-certified internist and geriatrician. Dr. Mamita began his medical training in his native country of Syria, he received his medical degree from Damascus University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in geriatric medicine in Los Angeles. While a resident, Dr. Mamita received a UCLA Solomon Scholars Research Award for outstanding medical research. Among his publication is a research article about the expression of muscle genes in patients with muscle wasting.

Dr. Mamita is fluent in Spanish and Arabic. He sees patients of ages 21 and over, including those with a special need for a doctor experienced in geriatric medicine. Dr. Mamita is also available for home visits.

While he is not busy practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and visiting his two children in college.
